A Message from the HustlHER 💌

Sunday Morning Manifestation: My life is about to TRANSFORM.

These are the words I find myself repeating as the day arrives and reality sets in that I’m about to completely change not just my life, but also the lives of so many women who shared similar experiences as mine and are facing their own battles.

As the oldest child of five with a hardworking single mother, I always strived to provide for myself so that she could take care of my family. Most of my high school and college years were spent working multiple part time jobs, sacrificing some of the typical college experiences because I had to work or catch up on assignments. From preschool teacher, to Sephora makeup artist and even a sales associate at Target, I’ve truly worn all types of hats in order to get by and figure out what I wanted in the process, like many people in my community.

I was studying Elementary Education for the first two years before my love for entrepreneurship & creativity drew me into Marketing. I found myself passionate about curating girls nights with different women I had connected with through social media and creating motivational videos to push people to keep going. With all these dreams, I found myself trying to pin point what exactly I was meant to do in this world. I faced many hardships along the way and came close to giving up a few times, but I knew there were bigger things in store.

So, let me tell you how I went from a college dropout working retail, to a 23 year old HustlHER who is building a multicultural community of dreamers and helping them believe in their wildest manifestations.

It was the beginning of 2022 when I was halfway through junior year and my dream of obtaining my Bachelor’s degree came to a halt. The reality was, I was no longer juggling work, school and social life as well as I once was. My grades reflected my struggle to keep up, and as a first-gen Latina student who was unsure, I didn’t have the courage to ask for help. I lost my financial aid and knew the best decision I could make was to take a break and figure out what my purpose was.

I returned back to my hometown and felt lonelier than ever after being away for three years, leaving behind the few friends I had and the college life back on campus. With no other source of income and now having the extra responsibility of supporting myself & my family, I found myself at T-Mobile as a sales associate. I was grateful for the opportunity, but still filled with confusion as I attempted to figure out what this new chapter would look like for me

[SPOILER ALERT: IT ALWAYS WORKS OUT]

That’s when I got the courage to reach out to someone I had seen on social media for years living a fulfilling lifestyle. Surrounded by motivated people, hosting fulfilling events and helping people grow. This was such an impactful mission and I knew I could be the one to amplify this message with my skills. That person turned out to be my wonderful friend and business partner, Jeurys Santiago.

I approached him with an eagerness to not only use my marketing skills to create meaningful content, but to be part of this community of people who all wanted to grow and live a high quality life. It wasn’t long before I found myself dedicated my time daily to building this community. As months went on, we quickly grew and were helping dozens of small businesses at a time to market themselves on social media while also putting together multiple events a month to give a platform to the talent in our community. Each day I was teaching myself something new: mastering Canva, filming with a professional camera, launching campaigns and found myself with a growing passion to help people do the same for themselves. I slowly gained an understanding of what my purpose was: I am meant to help people grow their mindset and create a brand that speaks their truth. 

It wasn’t long before I decided to go all in and quit my role at T-Mobile. Yes, it was most definitely a risk, but I wanted to do what I loved everyday. For the next year, I hustled like never before. Building this startup alongside Jeurys non-stop, to make Minds With Purpose what we envisioned it to be. All I wanted was for people who felt lost like I once did, to come join us and feel aligned with their purpose. I was able to discover more people, events and groups of women that aligned with me and found myself building this beautiful community of females that all were on similar journeys. I was so dedicated to this mission, that after about a year of being involved with the organization, I took on the role of COO with full gratitude.

Now two years down the line, my life is unrecognizable in the best way possible. I’ve been able to help dozens of team members with content creation, organized dozens of events that have impacted thousands, helped us strengthen our mission & logistics which has led to opportunities such as being featured in Arnold for Hispanic Heritage Month, moderating panel discussions with community thought leaders, MCing & hosting experiences, I launched my own podcast ‘Embracing the Journey’ to share solutions to obstacles I’ve faced and begun taking the steps towards completing my degree! I’m blessed enough to make a living helping the people in my community unlock their potential.

Bringing this women’s event to life has been a dream come true, with every aspect of it coming straight from my vision board. I wanted this to be a raw experience of what it looks like to have the right women around you, all carrying their own baggage yet wearing it gracefully without ever taking their eyes off the prize. Each speaker, partner, team member and moment in the event program was chosen and curated to fill up your cup in the best way possible. Our events are special because we create a safe space to build relationships, have fun and to flourish. Every woman part of this experience has inspired me in unimaginable ways.
